43rd Bandidos MC Birthday Run – McAllen, Texas

After receiving an invitation from the Bandidos North Houston Chapter and almost after two years without being in the United States, it was time to go back for a little holiday and visit my Brothers once again. They were already waiting for me at the airport when I arrived and welcomed me heart fully. After a small talk they took me to one of their houses where I stayed for the next few days. There we had a great time together and prepared our bikes for the upcoming trip. In the evening we had some nice barbecues and as a Brother from Oklahoma Chapter heard about my visit, he also came to Houston to spend some time with us all.

On the Friday, early in the morning, we finally started our run to McAllen, a smaller city in the south of Texas, close to the border of Mexico. It was a perfect day with beautiful weather and we had a perfect ride. On the way we met up with more Brothers from different chapters and our pack became bigger and bigger, until we finally arrived, after 500 miles, in McAllen Texas, in the early evening.



After a quick check-in at the hotel we went straight to the party ground where lots of Brothers were already waiting for us. The atmosphere at the place was very good and during the evening, more and more Brothers arrived. Everybody was very pleased that there were Brothers from overseas visiting and we celebrated until the early morning.

After a few hours sleep in the hotel, we went back to the party on the Saturday morning, where we stayed the whole day. The place was full of bikes, and in the party tent, the Bandidos MC members and their families partied together with supporters and other friendly clubs.
The Brotherhood, the atmosphere, the conversations, the food and the weather were so perfect and the party was a real success. In the afternoon, all the Bandido Brothers from overseas were asked to get on a stage and were officially appreciated by their American Brothers. Afterwards, some Brothers organised an auction for Brothers in need.
Two members from the Oklahoma City chapter and the Austin chapter auctioned a Derby Cover with a “Bandidos MC Texas” logo, for me as a present. In the evening we partied very hard together with good music, played by a live band.



On the Sunday morning, after breakfast, we got back on our bikes and rode back via Houston. The weather was as good as on the way there and we had another 500 miles of awesome riding together. The next morning, my journey was over and I had to go back to Germany.

Fat thanks to all the Brothers from Bandidos MC USA that I met and a special thanks to the Brothers from North Houston Chapter for lending me a bike. I had an awesome 1000 mile ride and the great hospitality and the perfect organisation made this Bandidos MC Birthday Run 2009, one of the best ever, for all the European Brothers and me!
