1st National Run Asia at the Phuket Bike week 2010

Once again we were headed for Thailand and the annual event, Phuket Bike week, this year, including the 1st National Run in Asia.
It was good to leave Denmark and the stinking cold weather behind us and after 11 hours we could leave the Jumbojet in Bangkok international airport where some of our Brothers from the local Bangkok chapter picked us up, good to be back in Thailand.



We spent a few days in Bangkok, relaxing after the trip and getting use to the big climate change, almost 40 degrees to be exact, before we had to ride the 1000 km To Phuket.

We took of from The clubhouse at 5.00am Tuesday morning, this early we would beat the heavy traffic and leave Bangkok behind us before the busy rush hour taking over.
1st day we went to prachuap, which is located about 80 km South from Hua Hin at the Gulf of Bangkok (Thailand) where we just have established a new chapter of Bandidos MC Thailand and this night was the chapter opening party, many happy Brothers, good food and plenty of cold drinks was served in front of the clubhouse, with this unbelievable location facing the bay full of fishing boats, looking like a postcard.



Next morning we left Prachuap, heading for Surrat Thani, which was our 2nd Leg of the journey. We had a great ride, hot like hell, with a few minor break downs, but it was fixed in no time.
We arrived at our hotel in Surrat Thani around 5pm. And tried to fix the dry spot in the throat with a few Pina Coladas followed by some My Thais, as our Koh Samui brothers and support chapter Predadores MC arrived. We all had a nice buffet in the restaurant before jumping to bed early, some more early than others.



The morning after we continued after breakfast with the 3rd and last leg of the journey to Phuket, now the pack started to grow and again a hot, hot ride, but with no major problems. We arrived at the police check point on Phuket around 4pm and we were very well received by the Phuket bike week organisation, represented by nice dancing girls which offered us cold drinks, as we were having the last Brothers from the pack rolling in.
After a hour or so, we all went the last 40 km to our hotel located at Patong Beach, here a large number of Brothers from all over the world, who'd been flying in to Phuket in the days before, received us very well, the real deal was getting started next evening with a big BBQ buffet as we celebrated Bangkok East End, 5 years anniversary, Chiangmai and Kamphaeng Phet chapters getting their full patches and off course the 1st Asian National Run, a long and wet evening, with a lot of fun, had by all!
Saturday had a slow start, for the most of us, and at 5pm we all set off to Chalong pier, on the other side of Phuket island, where a very delicious buffet was waiting for us, at a very nice located restaurant on the beach.
After enjoying a lot of good Thai food, we left for the Bike show down on Patong Beach where we had our own Bandidos place.



This 16th Phuket bike week was better than ever with more different shops, bikes and shows than we have seen before, not to forget the huge area they put up with all kind of fresh cooked food. About 5000 guests and bikers from more than 30 countries, which makes it the biggest Bikeshow in southeast Asia.



Sunday was a relaxing day for most Brothers and Monday the Bandidos MC Bangkok pack left and went the 1000 km Back to Bangkok, only stopping for gas and a quick snack, 15 hours, that's fast!!!
Some of us went further on to the paradise island Koh Chang, which is located in north east of Thailand, close to the Cambodian border, where we recovered from the many days on the road, celebrating Songkran, the Thai new year.



Getting back to Europe went up in volcanic eruption for most of us and we had to take alternative routes to get back home, some simply stayed in Bangkok and waited 2 weeks to get a plane back.

We want to thank all Bandido chapters in Asia for a very excellent National Run, a special big thank you, to the entire Bangkok chapter for as always a 1st class hospitality and pure Brotherhood. Congratulations with the 5 Years Anniversary Brothers.
