CHIANG MAI BIKE-WEEK 2008

During the last years, the Bandidos MC started to expand in Asia. Today, there are Full Chapters in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. In April 2008, a club named Formulate Hell from Chang Mai/ Thailand joined the Red & Gold family and started as official Hangaround Chapter of the Bandidos MC. For more than 10 years, this club has organised the legendary Chang Mai Bike-Week. So, we decided to make a little journey, to visit our Asian Brothers and make a big ride together through Asia.



After almost 15 hours in the plane, we finally arrived in Singapore, where our Brothers from Sin City Chapter were waiting for us. During the next days, the Brothers organised us a program, which even a professional travel agency couldn’t have done better.
After 3 beautiful days in Singapore, we went to Malaysia. Our Singapore Brothers took us to Malacca, a City at Malaysia’s west coast, where our local Support Club, the Ghost Riders MC Malacca were waiting for us, to show us all their cultural highlights. From there, our journey took us to Kuala Lumpur where our local Brothers organised us some beautiful days.



After a few days hanging around in Malaysia’s capital city, we got on the bikes and started riding up north, together with Kuala Lumpur Chapter, to an island called Penang, where we had a very nice and relaxed day on the beach. From there, our journey took us over Malaysia’s border into Thailand. It was a very long day and we made a big ride untill we finally arrived at the boat, which carried us to one of Thailand’s most beautifies islands, Ko Samui. The Brothers living on this island were already waiting for us and took us to one of their houses. There we stayed for the next couple of days and explored the island. But still, there was a lot more waiting for us. After 5 days, we left the island very early in the morning. The boat took us back to the mainland and we made another big ride, all the way up to Bangkok. We caught up with our Brothers from East-End, one of our Bangkok Chapters, and they took us to their clubhouse, a two level building with their own Bike Shop and Restaurant. Bangkok is an amazing city with lots of religious history and plenty of shopping streets. After a few days we got back on our bikes and rode further north to a city called Kampaeng Phet where the Bandidos MC also has a Hangaround Chapter. After a nice evening and some hours of sleep we left Kampaeng Phet in the early morning for our last leg on bikes to Chiang Mai where we had a great Bike-Week over the weekend.



It was amazing to see how many different motorcycle clubs are based in Thailand and how big Asia’s bike scene is.

We want to thank Bandidos MC Singapore, Bandidos MC Kuala Lumpur, Bandidos MC Bangkok East-End and our Brothers from Ko Samui Island, Hangaround Chapter Kampeang Phet, Hangaround Chapter Chiang Mai, Iron Chariots MC Singapore and Ghost Riders MC Malacca for a great ride, a perfect organised Bike-Week and the awesome way they showed us the Red and Gold Brotherhood.
